An Electronic Remittance Advice is an electronic version of a payment explanation which provides details about providers' claims payment, and if the claims are denied, it would then contain the required explanations. Today's healthcare market demands that physician offices manage their relationships with third party payors effectively to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
We receive electronic remittance advice (ERA) reports, you receive electronic funds transfer (EFT), and use electronic remittance advice reports to post insurance payments and reconcile balances. By receiving electronic payments and automating the EOB process, balance billing becomes more efficient, thus decreasing the time it takes to collect from your patients.
We enroll your practice in electronic remittance advice reports for hundreds of government and commercial insurance companies including Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross and Blue Shield in nearly every state and every major commercial insurance company including Aetna, Cigna, Humana, United Healthcare, and many more. Though most payers require an enrollment process to begin using electronic remittance advice services, we manage the enrollment process and request information from you at a as needed basis. Once your enrollment has been approved, we will begin receiving your electronic remittance advice directly into your account where they can be used for viewing and printing.
When we enroll your practice for electronic remittance advice services, you have the option to receive payment for your insurance claims by check or to provide your bank account information to insurance companies so they can send your payments via electronic funds transfer. If you opt-in for electronic funds transfer, you will receive an electronic funds transfer as a confirmation of payment (with a banking transaction ID) along with your electronic remittance advice report.
